Photographing rooms? Here’s how to capture the natural light. Place the camera on a tripod, or stand a mini-pod on a table. The camera should be about 4 feet off the floor and level. Change the shooting mode to manual and set the lens aperture (the f stop) to f8. The shutter speed will depend on the amount of light but will probably be between 1/4- 1/15 second. Activate the self-timer and remove your hand from the camera. When the image appears in the monitor adjust the shutter speed to make it darker or lighter, and re-shoot.
